ANDREW TRABAJANDO EN SU PROYECTO

"Sentir con los ojos" es el nombre del proyecto en el cual Andrew Donohoe (Tasmania, Australia) se encuentra trabajando durante su residencia en ´ACE, para el cual está realizando monotipos y fotolitografías basadas en imágenes tomadas en las calles de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.

"Sentir con los ojos" is the name of the project in which Andrew Donohoe (Tasmania, Australia) is working during his residency at ´ACE, for which he is making monotypes and photolithographies based on images taken in the streets of the city of Buenos Aires.

CLINICA DE OBRA CON FABIANA BARREDA

Hoy recibimos a Fabiana Barreda, conoció el espacio y al artista australiano en residencia Andrew Donohoe. En su sexta sesión del año, Fabiana realizó clínica de obra dentro del Programa "Los Número 10 / La Nueva década". Agradecemos su participación en esta programa que este año ha incorporado curadores de la generación intermedia y destacados artistas visuales.

Today we were visited by Fabiana Barreda and she met Andrew Donohoe, the australian artist in residence. At its sixth session of the year, Fabiana realized portfolio review within "The Number 10 / The New Decade" program. We want to thanks her participation in the program that this year has included curators of the middle generation and outstanding visual artists.

ANDREW COMIENZA SU RESIDENCIA

Hoy comenzó su residencia Andrew Donohoe (Australia), un artista apasionado de los procesos del grabado sobre todo grabados realizados en linóleo. Su trabajo se relaciona con el entorno natural y las formas, texturas y la simetría en la naturaleza. Además, este año Andrwe recibió el Premio Silk Cut, uno de los 3 premios adquisición más importantes de Australia para grabados sobre linóleo. Bienvenido Andrew a ´ACE!

Andrew Donohoe (Australia) began his residency today. Andrew is passionate about the processes associated with printmaking, particularly relief and especially linocuts. Generally his work relates to the natural environment and the forms, textures and symmetry found in nature. He is a full time artist and is largely self taught. This year, Andrew was awarded one of 3 acquisitive prizes of the Silk Cut Award for Linocut prints. Welcome Andrew to ´ACE!

VISITAS EN ´ACE

Recibimos la visita de los directores del Instituto Cervantes en Belgrado y de la misma institución en París, quienes conocieron el espacio y les contamos nuestras actividades.

We were visited by the directors of the Cervantes Institute in Belgrade and from the same institution in Paris, we showed them the installations and talked about our activities.

DESPEDIDA A LOS RESIDENTES

El viernes 20 despedimos a los artistas en residencia Garvin & Chris, les deseamos muy buen viaje de vuelta a sus países de origen y agradecemos a los padres de Chris su compañía en este especial momento. Chau chau!

On Friday 20 we say goodbye to the artists in residence Garvin & Chris, we wish them a very safe journey back to their countries of origin and we thank the parents of Chris their company in this special moment. Bye bye!

EXPOSICION CHRISTOPHER NEWMAN

Bajo el nombre de "La cara terrestre: Argentina", la exposición de Christopher Newman (Australia) es una instalación realizada con fotolitografías impresas sobre negro. Para Christopher Buenos Aires refleja la urbanización caótica de Sidney y por consiguiente la enajenación humana de la naturaleza. Para la inauguración, Chris contó con la presencia de sus padres quienes viajaron especialmente para estar presentes en este evento.

"La cara terrestre: Argentina" is the name of the exhibiton composed by waterless litographies printed on black and installed in the Políglota Rooom by Christopher Newman. For Christopher Buenos Aires reflects Sydney’s growing urban sprawl, and therefore the alienation of humanity from nature. For the opening Chris had the presence of their parents who traveled specially to attend this event.

´ACE nite

Queremos agradecer a todos los que estuvieron en la inauguración por la buena onda y presencia. Especialmente agradecemos a los payasos Paté, Perilla y Lupita por sus intervenciones que sorprendieron al público muy alegremente. Y por supuesto la performance que realizó Miguel Masllorens con sus originales objetos de luz con los que malabareó en el hall de ´ACE. Muchas gracias nuevamente y los esperamos la próxima!

We want to thank everyone who was at the opening for the good energy and presence.Especially we want to thank the clowns Pate, Perilla and Lupita for their interventions with the public that was very happily surprised. And of course the performance that Miguel Masllorens realize with his original light objects with which bobbled in the ´ACE hall. Thank you very much and see you again next time!

EXPOSICION GARVIN SIERRA

"Autor-retrato circense" es el nombre del proyecto que Garvin Sierra (Puerto Rico) ha desarrollado durante su residencia en ´ACE. En la exposición se ha mostrado el video que recrea la doble identidad de los integrantes del circo, en su rol de personajes y fuera del mismo. Agradecemos a todos los integrantes del circo que participaron en este proyecto!
"Autor-retrato circense"is the name of the project that Garvin has developed during his residence at´ACE. The exhibition has shown the video that recreates the double identity of the members of the circus, in their roles of characters and beyond. We thank all the members of the circus who participated in this project!

MONOTHON 2009 Y 2010

En el Espacio Transversal y Diáologo se presentó durante el ´ACE nite la exposición de monotipos MONOTHON 2009 y 2010 respectivamente. Eduardo Médici ha sido el artista invitado de la MONOTHON 2009 y artistas de Argentina, Bélgica, Colombia, Estados Unidos y Australia son parte de esta exposición.

On the Transverse and Dialogue Space was presented during the ´ACE nite the exhibition of the monotypes belonging to the MONOTHON 2009 and 2010 respectively. Eduardo Medici was the invited artist of the MONOTHON 2009 and artists from Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, USA and Australia are part of this exhibition.

LLEGARON LOS MALABARES A ´ACE

Hoy tuvimos la visita del performer Miguel Masllorens, quien se acercó a ´ACE para charlar con Garvin de su experiencia como performer. Además, Garvin registró sus malabares que realiza con máscaras y luces Led. Muchas gracias Miguel por la buena onda!

Today we had a visit from Miguel Masllorens  who came to 'ACE  to chat with Garvin about his experience as a performer. In addition, Garvin recorded his juggling performing with masks and LED lights. Miguel thank you very much for the good vibes!

COMENZARON LOS REGISTROS DE GARVIN

El sábado 31 de julio durante el día comenzaron los registros de Garvin Sierra para su proyecto "Autorretrato Circense". Estuvimos en dos espectáculos de circo pertenecientes al Buenos Aires Polo Circo "Ludus" y "Bangladim", fotografiando a todos los personajes antes de salir a escena y luego en sus roles correspondientes. Y a la noche nos fuimos al Club de Trapecistas de Marianita Sánchez, a registrar el espectáculo de los grandes éxitos del Circo Negro, un espectáculo genial! Queremos agradecer a todos los organizadores y protagonistas de los shows por su buena onda y predisposición!

On Saturday July 31st, during the day Garvin Sierra started the documentation for his project about the Circus and its characters. We´ve been in two circus shows within the Buenos Aires Polo Circus "Ludus" and "Bangladim", shooting all the characters before going on stage and then in their respective roles. And at night we went to the Club of Trapeze, of Marianita Sanchez, to document the characters of the Black Circus show, a great show! We want to thank all the organizers and actors of all the shows for being so kind and for the good predisposition!
